Take Action Today – No Pay Increases for the Wayne Township Board!

December 10, 2009 Leave a comment

UPDATE: The Board did not vote in favor of increasing their salaries and benefits.  Thanks for your efforts!

The Wayne Township Board will be reviewing the salary schedule as it relates to the 2010 budget tonight, December 10 at 6pm at the Wayne Township Government Center, 5401 West Washington Street.

The Wayne Township Board puts in about 20 hours a year!

Please come out and let the board know you are against this recommendation!

Any changes to this schedule must be made by December 31, 2009. Items being considered by the board include the following:

1. pay increase for board members
2. payments into PERF for board members
3. health insurance for board members.

I encourage citizens to come to the meeting and ask my fellow board members to vote no to all of the above mentioned recommendations.

Thank you,

Lisa Bentley
Wayne Township Board District 6

Check out this exciting new initiative!  Some great men on the southside are spearheading the GOP Families Project.

From their Facbebook Page: We have funding to take 5 families shopping and provide them with necessities and few fun things for the children. This is our first service project and it looks like it is going to be a huge success. Please feel free to come out and join us next Saturday, December 12, at 2pm, at the Southport Meijer Store!
